INNOVIA monorail 300 / CITYFLO 650 – Pink and Yellow lines, Bangkok, Thailand

Bombardier’s scope on the 34.2 km Khae Rai-MinBuri (Pink) and the 30.4 km Lat Phrao-Samrong (Yellow) Lines will comprise a total of 72 four-car INNOVIA monorail 300 trains, a range of wayside rail systems and the advanced BOMBARDIER CITYFLO 650 rail control for automated operation and full system integration. Operating in the city’s northern and eastern areas, the monorails will integrate with the existing transportation network and will be able to run at speeds of up to 80 km/h with a maximum capacity of over 28,000 passengers per-hour, per-direction.

The system is being integrated and delivered locally from Bombardier Transportation’s Engineering Centre in Bangkok with the vehicles being manufactured by the CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems Limited (PBTS) joint venture, based on Bombardier Transportation’s original design.

Bombardier will maintain the monorail trains, comprising 288-cars, as well as the system’s guideway switches and depot equipment for a period of 20 years.
