The members of the Supervisory Board of Bombardier Transportation GmbH and Bombardier Transportation (Bahntechnologie) Holding Germany GmbH yesterday unanimously elected Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube to be their new Chairman. He succeeds the previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Wolfgang Tölsner, who stepped down from his role for personal reasons in April.
Among his roles, Prof. Dr. Grube is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG and Chairman of Lazard in Germany. He can point to a proud career in German industry and in the mobility sector. From 2009 to 2017 he was the Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Bahn AG and from 2001 to 2009 he was a member of the board of DaimlerChrysler AG / Daimler AG.
Danny Di Perna, President and CEO of Bombardier Transportation: “We are delighted that Rüdiger Grube will be presiding over the supervisory boards. He has outstanding experience in various branches of industry, particularly in the mobility and industrial sectors, and enjoys the highest esteem. His election also underlines the huge significance of Germany to Bombardier Transportation.”
Daniel Me Desjardins, Chairman of Bombardier Transportation, “It is a great honour for Bombardier Transportation to have gained such a high-calibre manager for the chair of the supervisory boards of Bombardier Transportation in Germany.”
Bombardier Transportation explicitly paid tribute to the work of Wolfgang Tölsner, who has rendered especially great service to Bombardier Transportation in various managerial positions in the company, most recently as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bombardier Transportation GmbH and Bombardier Transportation (Bahntechnologie) Holding Germany GmbH.
Bombardier Transportation would like to wish Wolfgang Tölsner personally all the best and looks forward to a successful collaboration with Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube.
