Lead Operation Unit Manager – General Director, Vado Ligure site, Bombardier Transportation Italy
In 1986, after working for 3 years for a railway traction equipment provider, Giuseppe Tronconi joined TIBB – Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri - in Milan. There, he become Project Manager for major development vehicles contracts, including the first High Speed Powerhead prototypes for Ferrovie dello Stato. He drove the execution of various series production of High Speed trains for the Italian incumbent operator, progressively assuming higher responsibilities within Project Management. Since 2000, he was located in the Vado Ligure site of Adtranz, that then Bombardier Transportation Italy in 2001.
Mr Tronconi was nominated Head of Product Management Italy – Rolling Stock in 2007. In 2010, he was nominated as Head of Portfolio within Product Management – Locomotives, dealing with projects in Italy, Spain and Poland, responsible for teams located in four countries. In 2014, he took the position of General Manager for the Vado Ligure site.
He is member of the CIFI – Collegio Ingegneri Ferroviari Italiani - and he is author of contributions to railway magazines and of one book dealing with railway technical history.
Mr Tronconi holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic.
