Stefaan D’haene started his career at Bombardier Transportation in 1990 at the Bruges site (Belgium), where he was appointed Human Resources Director/Country Coordinator in 1998.

From 2001 onwards, he held several international HR leadership positions, first as head of HR for the Industrial Division covering all manufacturing plants in Europe, and later on as head of HR of the Services Division until 2006.  In 2006, he joined the company’s HR Transformation team and was later invited to create the global Bombardier Transportation HR shared services organization, which he implemented world-wide and led until 2010.  He was then appointed Global Head of Talent, Leadership Development, Compensation & Benefits and Global Mobility, working out of Berlin.  At the end of 2011, he joined one of the major rolling stock business units working out of Hennigsdorf (Germany).  In mid-2014, he joined the Villeneuve site in a leading role in HR and Health & Safety to support the site development to meet the challenges of the on-going projects.

Stefaan D’haene holds a master degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration.  He is a Belgian national, currently spending his time between Switzerland and Belgium.  He loves visiting other countries and cultures with his wife and three daughters. As a fervent musician, he plays his guitar when time allows.
