Villeneuve Site Manager
Christoph Tietz has been with Bombardier since 1993, having worked in various locations and in different functions throughout Switzerland and Germany. Christoph became a member of the executive board for Bombardier Switzerland in July 2019 and represents the Villeneuve site.
Christoph began his career as a project manager for wind power systems but soon moved to the rail vehicle sector. He began at Bombardier as a mechanical engineer and developed further in roles as a systems engineer, technical project manager and products and offers manager for locomotive engineering. After his move to the drive and control technology sector, he looked after the global IT and processes for the sector and later became the product manager for traction motors and gearboxes, finally becoming site manager in Hennigsdorf. In 2015, Christoph took on responsibility for the retrofitting of a large order at the Villeneuve site. Following its completion, he has managed the Villeneuve site since December 2018.
Christoph is married with two adult children and lives in the canton of Thurgau. He likes to spend his free time rowing on Swiss lakes or cross-country skiing in the mountains.
