“One of my most memorable experiences was the conversation I had at InnoTrans with two locomotive drivers, who argued which company builds better locomotives. Bombardier or competition? I could feel their excitement about our products, which made me feel proud. Also, every time I travel with a Bombardier locomotive or see one, I feel proud of being part of the team who builds and maintains these.”

“One of the most interesting experiences I’ve had at Bombardier was working on a business initiative to enhance the capabilities within the region. But the proudest moment for me is always when I see our trains running in service, filled with passengers. Knowing that these vehicles, which we spend enormous amounts of time and effort producing, will be providing a means of transportation to the masses for the next 30 years makes it all worth it.”

“There were two big memorable experiences during my 17-year tenure at Bombardier. The first was all of Bombardier Transportation Australia raising over $70,000 Australian Dollars for the bushfire victims of Black Saturday in March 2009. Very proud of the way we all came together for our community. My second interesting experience is moving from Melbourne to Bangkok in 2015. It’s been a wonderful experience to work with APAC countries. My team with their drive and commitment are worth a special mention.”

“I joined Ericsson in Hässleholm (later acquired by Bombardier) in 1970 – in January 2020 I celebrated my 50th work anniversary! There have been many memorable moments in those decades, but one of the most interesting was when we developed and introduced the world's first computer-based interlocking, which was installed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1978. To work with railway safety, you need to have patience, it takes many years to learn the foundation and turn all stones, it is not about designing but preventing.”

“I’m an Electronics Engineer on paper, working in IT for more than nine years. During the two years that I have been with Bombardier, I’ve had multiple experiences that were interesting, and which delighted me. The best one was during my trip to Kingston, Canada together with other colleagues. The visit gave me an opportunity to visualize and understand the trains in depth. It was fascinating to see all the raw controls, assembling, parts integration and testing on tracks. I’m proud to be part of a company that plays a major role in moving people and connecting cities across the world and to be able to contribute to making people’s journey an enjoyable one. There are plenty of opportunities here.”

“I’ve worked for Bombardier all my life! There have been many memorable experiences during those 36 years, such as the computerization of our Crespin plant in 1985. I was personally involved in the installation of the first computers. Another experience that I recall involved us fixing the problems with vehicle wheel-by-wheel weighing. We fixed the load cells and tracks in the middle of winter, tracks covered with 20 cm of snow, but the result was worth it, we improved the quality of service.”
