“I am in my first substantive role after completing the graduate program, which gave me the opportunity to experience a range of engineering disciplines over the last two years and I am proud to have the opportunity to work with world class rolling stock engineers. During my time at Bombardier, I’ve had the opportunity to work on side projects too, including an investigation with the Engineer in charge of the maintenance team where I got the chance to catch one of our very own Crossrail trains. I have big things planned for my future career with Bombardier.”

“I joined Ericsson in Hässleholm (later acquired by Bombardier) in 1970 – in January 2020 I celebrated my 50th work anniversary! There have been many memorable moments in those decades, but one of the most interesting was when we developed and introduced the world's first computer-based interlocking, which was installed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1978. To work with railway safety, you need to have patience, it takes many years to learn the foundation and turn all stones, it is not about designing but preventing.”

“I’m an Electronics Engineer on paper, working in IT for more than nine years. During the two years that I have been with Bombardier, I’ve had multiple experiences that were interesting, and which delighted me. The best one was during my trip to Kingston, Canada together with other colleagues. The visit gave me an opportunity to visualize and understand the trains in depth. It was fascinating to see all the raw controls, assembling, parts integration and testing on tracks. I’m proud to be part of a company that plays a major role in moving people and connecting cities across the world and to be able to contribute to making people’s journey an enjoyable one. There are plenty of opportunities here.”

“First and foremost, I am a big, strong and funny Mama of a nine-year-old boy. At work, I have another baby – Bangkok’s Green Line extension project, where I’ve been deeply involved for over a year. I am so proud to be a small gear in Bombardier’s machine that moves the world. We do move cities! I’m also proud of our rich knowledge in signalling and systems integration that we share with the communities we operate in. For me Bombardier is more than a job; my team is my second family. My motto at work is trust in yourself, trust in your team, share and give before you take and be proud of what you do.”

“I’ve worked for Bombardier all my life! There have been many memorable experiences during those 36 years, such as the computerization of our Crespin plant in 1985. I was personally involved in the installation of the first computers. Another experience that I recall involved us fixing the problems with vehicle wheel-by-wheel weighing. We fixed the load cells and tracks in the middle of winter, tracks covered with 20 cm of snow, but the result was worth it, we improved the quality of service.”

“I’m friendly and confident but also geeky when it comes to things like comics and trivia. I like to approach things from different angles and often work with a different logical reasoning to most. I’m now into my second year at the company. I was very proud to have been selected for Bombardier’s graduate program, and my pride has only increased since I’ve started: my ideas are valued, and my hard work is truly acknowledged. I’ve even managed to implement my love of comics and story writing into my role, so believe me anything is possible.”
