Bombardier’s rail business employs U.S. workers at production and services sites across 12 states. The company manufactures rail vehicles at its facility in Plattsburgh, New York. Sites outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania produce rail products for both domestic and export markets.
We’re providing 300 R179 subway cars for New York City.
We’re providing 775 rail cars for San Francisco BART’s “Fleet of the Future”.
We’re boosting passenger safety by providing Positive Train Control capability on sections of Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad.
We’re supplying an INNOVIA APM 256 automated people mover system with 36 vehicles for Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
We provide operations and maintenance services for four commuter rail systems in California, Florida and Maryland, and a light rail system in New Jersey. We also support fully automated transit systems at 14 airports across the country.
We've been contracted to supply 28 BiLevel commuter rail cars with two US West Coast transportation authorities. The two contracts represent a combination of eight cab cars and 20 coaches.
