Current bid opportunities

Melbourne Next Generation Tram IDP

The Victorian Government are working with major rolling stock manufacturers in an Interactive Development Process (IDP) to develop technical proposals for a Next Generation Trams (NGT) that will fit the requirements of the Melbourne network. The NGTs will replace over 60% of the overall Melbourne tram fleet by 2032 and cater for Melbourne’s future transportation needs.

The NGTs will be fully accessible and include on board energy storage, reducing the need for power upgrades. Local content is an important part of the process with a target of over 60%.
